Beijing to Tokyo 5-Day Golf Itinerary: Two or Three Rounds

Suggested itinerary

Allow a full day for each round on a five-day trip from Beijing. Many courses around Tokyo take 1.5-2 hours to reach from a central hotel, whether you drive or take a train and taxi.

For five days, plan two relaxed rounds or three rounds if one night is near the golf area. A 27-hole day is possible only when you start early and confirm the extra nine before the trip.

Day-by-day route

Day 1: fly to Haneda or Narita, enter Japan, check in, and confirm every booking. Make sure the course has your reservation name, player count, rental clubs, shoe sizes, payment method, and transport plan.

Day 2: play the first round near Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, or Narita. A 9:00-10:30 tee time is usually easier for a first round in Japan than a very early slot from central Tokyo.

Day 3: move closer to the second golf area or stay at a course hotel. If you want 27 holes, look for a 6:00-7:30 tee time and ask whether an extra nine can be added on that date.

Day 4: second or third round in the same direction. Do not cross Tokyo just because a famous course has one open slot. Compare the travel time between the hotel and each course.

Day 5: leave Japan. If the flight is late, use the morning for a range, golf shop, or very close short course. Do not put the most important 18 holes on departure day.

Better bases

Shinjuku or Ikebukuro can be more practical than Ginza for west Tokyo, Saitama, Yamanashi, and some Hakone or Fuji routes. Shinagawa or Haneda-side hotels can work for Kanagawa and airport movement. Narita or Chiba hotels are useful when the first or last round is near Narita Airport.

Budget frame

For a normal visitor round around Tokyo, plan roughly ¥12,000-¥25,000 per person before premium courses, weekends, rentals, transport, lunch upgrades, locker fees, utilization tax, and twosome or threesome surcharges. A rental car can make sense for three or four players, but include tolls, fuel, parking, and the return time.

Yes, if the second and third rounds are in the same direction or one night is near the course. It becomes tiring if every round starts from central Tokyo.

Should I stay in Ginza?

Ginza is convenient for restaurants and shopping, but it is not automatically the best golf base. For morning golf, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Shinagawa, Narita, or a course-area hotel may save more time.

When is 27 holes realistic?

When you start around 6:00-7:30, the course allows an extra nine, daylight is enough, and transport after the round is already arranged.
