A four-day trip from Hong Kong to Tokyo allows for two golf days between arrival and departure. One of those days could include 27 holes if the course offers an extra nine and you can start early enough.

You can return to Tokyo each evening or spend one night closer to the next course.

Day-by-day route

Day 1: fly to Tokyo and check in. If you arrive in the afternoon or evening, do not force a full round. Confirm the next day’s reservation, rental clubs, shoes, payment method, and transport. If you are staying in central Tokyo, check exactly how long the journey takes from hotel door to clubhouse.

Day 2: first round. For a first round in Japan, a 9:00-10:30 tee time is usually easier than a very early start. Leave enough time for bag drop, reception, changing, practice balls, rental checks, and finding the cart.

Day 3: second round or 27 holes. The normal version is another 18 holes in the same direction. The golf-heavy version is 27 holes at the same facility or a course that confirms an additional half round. For 27 holes, look for a 6:00-7:30 tee time and stay near the course if possible.

Day 4: return day. If the flight is late, consider a range session, golf shop, or short nine-hole option. Do not place the most important 18 holes on departure day unless the course is very close to the airport and transport is already confirmed.

When a course hotel helps

One night near the course changes the whole trip. Day 2 can be a normal round, then the group stays near the golf area. Day 3 can start early without a long Tokyo transfer, making a second round or 27 holes much easier.

This is especially useful for Chiba/Narita, Hakone, Izu, Mt. Fuji, Karuizawa, and resort-style routes.

What to confirm before booking

Check whether two players are accepted, whether a twosome surcharge applies, whether lunch is included, whether rental clubs are available in the correct hand, whether a Japanese phone number is required, and whether cancellation fees are charged by person or group.
